Hello and welcome to Episode 8 of the Shinybees podcast: Snake Eyes. This slightly rougher around the edges podcast is brought to you again from sunny South Africa. Thanks very much for joining me again after a break due to the arrival of Samuel Douglas. He came in a rather speedy fashion, 5 days late. There was quite a bit of yarn buying going on due to the inconvenience of being late to me, from Loop, Knitting Goddess and Flamboyance Yarns.

We start off the episode with a few hellos, and briefly mention the stronghold of newborn night-time waking that is the #3amclub. This is followed up by the latest happenings in Limpopo, including the untimely demise of a Black Mamba in the garden.

The pattern pick for this week is also inspired by all things snake. Be careful to avoid Willie the Trouser Snake! All the patterns can be found in the set on Ravelry.

In the South Africa section we return to the north to talk about Mapungubwe National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Here, you can see the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe rivers, as well as see Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa, all from one spot. Take a treetop walk to see the great grey-green greasy Limpopo River or go on a game drive and see 4 of the Big 5.
